CHRISTMAS Eve revellers have been out painting the town red as they hit pubs and clubs across the UK.
Partygoers are continuing to fill their boots as we speak as hoards of Brits see in the big day.
Pubs and clubs have been rammed to the rafters as friends come together, uni students return home and families celebrate.
On one of the biggest pub nights of the year, Brits splash their cash to continue piling up their festive spending.
People have also dressed up for the special occasion, with plenty of Christmas-themed outfits being sported on a chilly night.
Elves, Santas and other characters have been spotted walking up and down streets as they approach their destination for the night.
Youngsters dressed as turkeys, the Grinch and even Jesus haven’t let the cold weather get to them as they embark on downing pint after pint.
Pub crawls are often a big tradition and plenty of those have been taking place throughout the night.
And with Christmas just getting started, it’s expected that boozy nights out will continue all the way through until the New Year.
It comes after thousands of merry revellers enjoyed a big Saturday night out on December 23.
Once again fancy dress was in abundance as drinks flowed all through the night.
