Netflix could include adverts and in-app purchases in one of its best hidden perks

NETFLIX has an incredible free hidden perk that less than 1% of subscribers take advantage of.

Despite being available at every subscription tier, not everyone is taking advantage of this deal.

Netflix allows you to play from a library of almost 100 free games.

Netflix has almost 100 free games that are available for all subscribers to play on mobile.

This includes a number of very popular titles, such as all three games from the GTA 3 series.

Netflix’s games compare favourably against other free games as they are all ad-free and include no in-app purchases.

This means that even basic games like Solitaire are much improved by playing them on Netflix compared to other apps.

The company has so far remained strong in its belief that the quality of the gaming experience is important to Netflix.

Speaking to investors in April, co-chief executive Greg Peters said: “We want to have a differentiated gaming experience.

“Part of that is giving game creators the ability to think about building games purely from the perspective of player enjoyment.

“[Including] not having to worry about other forms of monetization, whether it be ads or in-game payment.”

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Netflix is having internal discussions about including ads and in-game purchases in its games.

While this goes against everything that the company has promised so far, internal discussions are only one of the first steps towards implementation.

Nothing is set in stone, but subscribers are still concerned about a considerable drop in the quality of Netflix’s games.

In particular, because this goes completely against how Netflix has promoted the service so far.

If Netflix sees public pushback, then it is possible that it will drop these plans, and keep the games ad-free.

Nevertheless, user backlash has been unsuccessful in the past with other changes like price increases and the company’s crackdown on password sharing.
