PS5 power players constantly draining their controller of battery might have access to an upgrade very soon.

Details of a brand new PS5 controller have leaked online.

Is it a leak or a listing mistake?

It comes days after PlayStation fans spotted brand new designs for the latest PS5 slim model.

The leaked controller can apparently pack a lot more juice, unlike the current kit that gives you about three to six hours on a single charge.

Electronics retailer Best Buy Canada appears to have accidentally published details before Sony could officially launch it.

It’s listed as “PS5 v2 DualSense Wireless Controller”.

Aesthetically, the device looks exactly the same as the current controller which has been around since November 2020.

Most of the features like haptic feedback and the built-in microphone are all mentioned too.

The key difference is it can last up to 12 hours.

“Exceptional 12-hour battery life, on a full charge, supports long gaming sessions,” the listing states.

As for the price, it’s up for $89.99CAD – the same you would pay for a standard white current generation PS5 controller.

In the UK they cost £59.99, while in the US it’s $69.99.

“Finally some decent time!,” one gamer reacted.

“12 hours – even 10 hours – would be amazing,” another said.

“I remember coming home from work and gaming from 7pm to 10pm and having my controller almost die on me.”

A third wrote: “That battery life alone warrants a purchase.”

Of course, we’ll have to wait until Sony officially confirms whether the product is launching or whether it’s just a mistake.
