FORTNITE has been expanding with three new game modes being added last week.

While it’s best known for the popular Battle Royale mode, there are now completely different ways to play Fortnite.

Rocket Racing was developed by the same team as Rocket League, and offers players a supercharged kart racer.

Fortnite Festival is another new mode that puts Rock Band-style concerts into the popular free-to-play game.

However, the most popular new mode is Lego Fortnite, a creative sandbox to rival Minecraft.

Using virtual Lego bricks, Fortnite players can gather resources, craft items and create a homebase.

You will recruit new NPCs to your village that will help you further build your empire.

With the freedom that Lego bricks allow, there is much more you can do than simply build houses.

If you can imagine it, you can create it, which is what some players have taken too far.

A clip has gone viral online in which a group of players made a recreation of 9/11 in Lego Fortnite.

The video shows two tall Lego towers that have been filled with Thermite, a crafting material that explodes on contact.

A player crafted a rocket aimed at the two towers, which, when released, collided with the buildings, reducing them to piles of rubble.

Opinions are split over the recreation, as some players laugh over the video showing the explosions.

While some find it humorous, one commenter wrote: “Once upon a time I might’ve found this funny, and I totally understand how it’s funny.

“I’m not hurt as everyone’s saying, I wasn’t even alive then. But I just think this is one of those things you don’t joke about”

Another wrote: “Only little kids who never watched the news live when this happened in real life would make such jokes.

“I was 13, came home from school and heard the news on the radio in the car.

“When I got home all channels had continuous footage. I remember hearing the mention of people choosing to jump to their death knowing their time was up.”
