AMAZON has announced that its newest lineup of Fire TVs will be able to generate unique custom art backgrounds with artificial intelligence (AI).

The AI art feature is coming to Fire TV Omni QLED televisions and the second-gen Fire TV Stick 4K Max.

Alexa has partnered with the Titan Image Generator model to bring the feature to Fire TVs.

It’s already begun rolling out to devices in the US, where owners now receive a prompt to create a custom background using an Alexa voice prompt.

How do I use it?

AI Art is only available on Fire TV devices that include ambient mode – so be sure to turn that on first.

You can do this by asking Alexa to “open Ambient.”

Next, you’ll see a pop-up announcing that the AI Art feature has landed on your device.

To give the new feature a spin, say something like: “Alexa, create a background of a windmill in the desert.”

And lo, you will see the image being painted in front of you.

Amazon will create up to four unique images to choose from for each prompt.

You can also apply any number of artistic styles, such as pixel art, oil painting, watercolor, colored pencil.

Then there’s different automatically generated modifiers, such as Impressionistic or Fantasy.

Once the AI has come up with something you’re happy with, you can set it as the background on your Fire TV device.

There is also the option to save the image to Amazon Photos.
