Amazon provides several pieces of advice for pairing your Fire TV remote on its website.

One piece of advice involves the amount of controllers you have paired with the TV.

Too many controllers can cause an overload and will leave you unable to pair another remote.

Amazon says, “If you have seven controllers paired, remove one of them before attempting to pair another.”

You can easily remove an Amazon TV remote by clicking on the Settings icon.

Next, click on Controllers & Bluetooth Devices and then Amazon Fire TV Remotes.

Select the remote you want to remove.

Next, hold down the Menu, Back, and Home buttons until the remote unpairs.

Amazon has several other pieces of advice if you’re still struggling to pair a new remote.

It says, “Replace the batteries in your remote. For best performance, alkaline batteries are recommended.”

The tech giant also recommends moving your remote closer to the TV.

You should have the remote within 10 feet of the TV if you want it to work.

If you’re still having issues, restarting may be your only option.

Amazon says, “Restart your Fire TV by unplugging the device or going to Settings.

“Once you’re on the home screen, press and hold the Home button on your remote for 10 seconds.”
