DETAILS about the next Google Pixel smartphone are gathering pace despite it being months away from launching.

Rumours and leaks give us a bit of an idea about what Google has its sleeve for the possible Pixel 9.
Google has previously outed some key Android features early, so we might find out more sooner than you think.
For now, here’s what we know based off leaks.
When is the Pixel 9 released?
Google’s last Pixel launch took place in October, as have most previous flagship pixel events.
So it’s fair to assume the Pixel 9 will be launched around then too.
Devices are usually released a couple of weeks later, so keep October in your calendars as a possible date.
What does the Pixel 9 look like?
Leaked renders of the new Pixel 9 give us an idea of what it will look like.
Appearing in a baby blue, the purported images show a much more round-edged Pixel than previously.
It seems to have a matt back with a metallic frame.

We can also see that the front facing camera is a pin hole, embedded within the screen.
The camera set up looks to have changed drastically too, showed in raised bump and rounded bar.
Apparently there will be three lens on both models this year, which is quite an upgrade for the main Pixel.
The Pixel 8 has a 50-megapixel main camera, alongside a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
Meanwhile the Pixel 8 Pro has a 50-megapixel main camera, a much bigger 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens and an extra 48-megapixel periscope lens too.
What Pixel 9 models will there be?
Rumours currently suggest that this year there might be three models unveiled instead of two.
Previously, we’ve had a main Pixel model as well as a bigger Pro version.
This would be a smaller sized Pro model, according to Android Authority.
