Hyundai’s extensive range of EVs will be on display prominently across 3 show stands at the Everything Electric Australia show at Sydney Olympic Park from February 9-11 2024. Hyundai was not present at the show last year so this is a welcome announcement.

The show will provide the first Australian-road test drives of the high-performance IONIQ 5 N, as part of a line-up of 20 Hyundai and Genesis test-drive vehicles.

Highlights on the Hyundai stand will include their MIGHTY Electric Truck, reigning World Car of the Year IONIQ 6, 2022 World Car of the Year IONIQ 5, the all-new high-performance IONIQ 5 N, 2nd generation KONA Electric and MIGHTY Electric Truck, with complimentary barista coffee for showgoers.

The Genesis stand will showcase the all-electric GV60 and GV70. Hyundai and associated automaker Kia announced recently that they had tested and reduced the drag coefficient of an electric Genesis GV60 (Cd) by 0.008 (improving drag by 2.8%) by installing Active Air Skirt (AAS) technology that minimises the aerodynamic resistance generated at higher driving speeds, effectively improving the driving range and driving stability.

In addition to the static displays, many Hyundai and Genesis EVs will be available for test drives, on roads surrounding the venue, throughout the three-day show.

Among the test drive experiences will be the first opportunity for the public to get behind the wheel of the forthcoming IONIQ 5 N on Australian roads.

Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Executive Officer, Ted Lee commented:

“Everything Electric is a fantastic way for the public to get up close to our extensive range of electric vehicles, including our new, high-performance IONIQ 5 N and our new EV workhorse, the MIGHTY Electric Truck”.

“Everything Electric will showcase Hyundai’s unwavering commitment to the development of advanced electrified vehicles”.

Founded and hosted by Robert Llewellyn – of Red Dwarf, Carpool and YouTube channel Fully Charged – Everything Electric features EVs of all sizes as well as presenting clean energy solutions for buildings.

The show will feature a series of guest speakers, provide the opportunity to test-ride E-bikes, E-scooters and E-skateboards, and access expert home energy advice.
