Pokémon fans have found a brilliant hack for catching one of the games’ most difficult beasts

POKÉMON Scarlet & Violet were released over a year ago, but they are just as popular as ever.

That’s thanks to the many updates and upgrades released throughout the year, and a recent change has players more excited than ever to get into the game.

Blaziken has come to seven-star raids for the first time, and it’s one of the trickier Pokémon to take down.

Available from Friday, January 19, 2024, until Sunday, January 21, 2024, you have just a few days to catch your own.

Here is the set that Blaziken has.

The Mightiest Blaziken – Level 100

  • Nature – Adamant
  • Ability – Speed Boost
  • Item – None
  • Tera type – Flying
  • Move set – Blaze Kick, Brave Bird, Earthquake, Overheat, Rock Slide, Swords Dance, Bulk Up

Blaziken has impressive physical attack, so you will need to ensure that you have enough defense to survive.

With the Flying-tera type, its Brave Bird is boosted and will do a surprising amount of damage.

However, there is a very strong counter to Blaziken, which will allow you to capture it even if playing alone.

Here is the Pokémon and set that we recommend.

Slowbro – Level 100

  • Nature – Bold
  • Ability – Oblivious
  • Item – Shell Bell
  • Tera type – Psychic
  • Move set – Iron Defense, Chilling Water, Calm Mind, Stored Power 

Slowbro’s Water/Psychic typing resists most of Blaziken’s attacks, and its natural bulk means that it will stay healthy.

On the first three turns, hit it with Chilling Water to reduce its attack until Blaziken wipes your stat changes.

From here, set up two Iron Defenses to make sure you cannot be taken down without a critical hit, and four Calm Minds to boost your damage.

Then you can use your Psychic-tera and begin to use Stored Power, which does more damage the more stat boosts you have.

It should only take three to five hits to take out Blaziken from here, then you can catch it.
