POKÉMON fans have been deep into the new Indigo Disk DLC for the past week, but there are more surprises to come.
The Indigo Disk leaves us somewhat on a cliffhanger, with a number of special coaches being unavailable at launch.
Many suspected an unreleased epilogue would later fill in the blanks, and it has now been officially announced.
The official Pokémon Twitter account writes: “A new adventure in the Land of Kitakami awaits!
“An epilogue for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero arrives on January 11.”
There is a short teaser trailer for the upcoming episode featuring Arven, Penny and Nemona from the original story.
These three were theorised as being the three missing Special Coaches, and it would make sense if they are unlocked after the epilogue.
Dataminers have revealed a new Pokémon that people could not find in the game or DLC.
This isn’t like Meloetta which was in the game but incredibly well hidden, there was no way to find and catch this Pokémon.
The Mythical Pokémon Pecharunt can be seen at the end of the teaser trailer, and was discovered via data mining.
The teaser has given us answers to many of our questions following the completion of the DLC.
Pokémon’s DLC epilogue will require players to do some of the post-game from Scarlet and Violet.
You will also need to have completed both the Teal Mask and Indigo Disk DLC.
The Epilogue is not going to be a long addition to the story, but will be a free update for those who have completed the DLC.
Completing the DLC will also presumably open up more post-game content.
