Empoleon will be available once a day over two weekends giving you six chances to catch it.

Here is when you can take down Empoleon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

  • From Friday, February 2, 2024, until Sunday, February 4, 2024
  • From Friday, February 9, 2024, until Sunday, February 11, 2024

Empoleon has quite a varied moveset and it will start by setting up Snowscape which will boost its defenses.

Here is Empoleon’s set:

The Mightiest Empoleon – Level 100

  • Nature – Modest
  • Ability – Competitive
  • Item – None
  • Tera type – Ice
  • Move set – Ice Beam, Surf, Flash Cannon, Grass Knot, Snowscape, Blizzard, Iron Defense

The easiest way to take down Empoleon is by using a new addition, Dusk Mane Necrozma.

It has a great typing for this raid with Steel, and can overwrite the Snow with its own Sunny Day.

Swords Dance will boost its attack, and it can then take down Empoleon with some strong Sunsteel Strikes.

Here’s the set you can use.

Dusk Mane Necrozma – Level 100

  • Nature – Careful
  • Ability – Prism Armor
  • Item – Shell Bell
  • Tera type – Steel
  • Move set – Swords Dance, Sunsteel Strike, Light Screen, Sunny Day
