Tesla’s Full Self Driving Beta software is getting another new version. Today, Tesla is rolling out build 2023.44.30.15 which contains the new FSD Beta V12.2 release.
The news has been shared by Teslascope, a site that monitors software releases and allows owners to connect their vehicles to the service and monitor their vehicle data.
The previous Beta build was V12.1.2 and only made it as far as employees and around 100 members of the public. This 100 people are likely to be the ‘special groups’ mentioned in the Teslascope post.
Having a new build, we should expect that the release goes to this early group first, followed by a process of validating the release through vehicle data, before potentially rolling out to a broader owner group of the more than 400,000 vehicles with Beta (subscribed or purchased).
As of today, there is still no representation of FSD V12 builds on Teslascope, as this represents the list of builds seen via there API. Generally employees are prevented from using 3rd party services like this, which explains why we’re not seeing it yet. Once a member of the public that uses Teslascope, gets the build made available to their car, we should see this added here.
Prior to V12, there was an early group of around 30 original FSD Beta testers that would get releases early. Since the major architectural change in V12 this rollout sequence has changed.
The Tesla community is also awaiting a broader, international rollout of FSD Beta.
