GAMING fans looking to sell their old PS4 might want to check for a rare download that could increase its value by up to four times.
Players will no doubt be looking to make a bit of extra cash from their PS4 after receiving the latest PS5 console over Christmas.
You can only get a maximum of £140 ($117) from second hand stores like Cex – and that’s if you have a boxed 1TB PlayStation 4 Pro.
But if you have a special download on your machine you could get more like £500 ($640), as one lucky eBay seller found out.
And it’s all because of a rare demo game that only a limited number of people were able to download before it was dramatically pulled.
P.T. was as a free interactive teaser for the huge Silent Hills games.

It was released on PlayStation 4 in August 2014 with Japanese gaming legend Hideo Kojima and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro on board.
But less than a year later, developer and publisher Konami cancelled its upcoming Silent Hills title and P.T. was suddenly pulled.
As P.T. was never released in physical form it meant that only people who had already downloaded it could continue playing it.
Fans desperate to play the game have resorted to buying PS4 consoles with P.T. installed for a premium.
While there’s no guarantee you’ll get as much as £500, it’s possible you can get more than you would from a second hand store just for having P.T. on it.
One seller got £500 ($640) for their PS4 Pro with P.T. on it as recent as November.
Another in November got £290 ($371), while a third in December managed £450 ($575).
So, it’s well worth checking whether your old PS4 has the demo on there before parting ways.
Check for other games
Other Silent Hill games are also pretty rare and could net you a nice sum.
Silent Hill 2 for PS2 in new condition complete in box can get as much as £463.50 ($592.96).
